Billy Hugh Bradley

B. Hugh Bradley, a resident of Hardee County, passed away on April 13, 2022. He was born on December 9, 1943, in Andalusia, Alabama, and moved to Hardee County as a teenager. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Libby) Bradley; daughter, Amy E. Bradley, of Florala, Alabama; son, Shannon H. Bradley, and wife Elizabeth, of Wauchula, Florida; grandchildren, Sierra Yang, and husband Evan, Abigail Emerson, Bradley Emerson, Rebeka Bradley, and Andrew Josef Bradley; and sister, Patsy Barrington, of Austin, Texas. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Franklin Bradley and Myrtle Matthews Bradley; brothers, Don Bradley and Frank Bradley; and sister, Peggy Chambers. A graduate of Hardee High School and the University of South Florida, he was employed as an accountant by the Hardee County Sheriff's office, the Hardee County School Board, and Farmland Hydro. He was elected and served 16 years as Clerk of Courts for Hardee County, retiring in 2012. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and member of the choir. Services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church on April 15, 2022, at 3:00 P.M., with visitation at 2:00 P.M. Private interment will take place at Paynes Creek Cemetery.
