Ignacio Rodriguez

July 27, 1950 - February 6, 2022

Promoter, Musician, Master of Ceremonies, Disc Jockey, Mechanic, and Farmer Ignacio (Nacho) Rodriguez‘s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. Nacho passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 71 after an amazing courageous life, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest as he lived his. Nacho was born in Anahuac, Nuevo Leon Mexico, and moved to Florida in 1974 with the love of his life whom he married when she was 13 and he was 17. The move was the typical journey of a migrant worker. He worked many crops while always having a passion for music. In 1979 he purchased his first new vehicle, a black and orange van to transport his band Tropical Anahuac. Over the coming years, he would play in various bands, and in the early 80’s he started his Music Promoter career which expanded over the US. Along with this he owned Wauchula Iron Work and did what he loved on a mic through various radio stations. He shared his passion for everything he did with many in teaching them his traits over the years, especially his children. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Nacho. He loved people and gatherings with the discadas he took pleasure in making while always having a band bus in front of his house. He never shied away from getting greasy, picking a crop, picking up a mic, or sacrificing a room to host a family in need. His hobby to relax was fishing, watering his plants, or playing bingo. He had an ability to adapt and find happiness in his daily activities. His uplifting spirit and love for life were contagious to everyone he met. He’d bring a smile to many at the Bailes when he’d say “Sueltela Maestro!” Nacho is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Ignacio(Sylvia - 6 children and 2 grandchildren); Elizabeth (Samuel – 4 children and 1 grandchild); Andres ( Christina – 2 children and 3 grandchildren); Miguel (Fidencia – 5 children and 7 grandchildren); Xochitl (4 children); Evangelina (Miguel – 7 children) and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022, 5:00 P.M. in the Robarts Garden Chapel, funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2022, 12:00 P.M. in the Robarts Garden Chapel, Pastor Sergio Reyes officiating.
