He was a diesel mechanic by trade and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Lamarr is preceded in death by both parents, and brothers Dwight Spain, Donald Spain, and Walter Spain. He is survived by Lamar Douglas Spain Jr. "Doug"; five grandchildren, and seven Great-grandchildren.
