Pang Doua Hang Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Pang Doua Hang, passed away on May 25, 2022, in LaBelle, Florida. He was born on May 9, 1943, in Ta Xiong A, Laos, to Boua Xeu and Mai Kue Hang. He was the eldest son of thirteen children. Out of those thirteen, Mai, Mee, Chou, and Ka Hang have passed away. In 1962, he married and had six children in Laos and Thailand, but his daughter Yer died. In 1980, Mr. Hang’s dream of moving to the United States became a reality. Pang Doua and his family moved frequently throughout their lives before settling in Fresno, California, in 1982. He had an additional eight children in the US, for a total of thirteen. However, his youngest daughter, Poua, was tragically lost in 1997, leaving him with twelve children. Mr. Hang possessed many talents. Among his many occupations, which included blacksmithing, carpentry, and medicine, he also became fascinated with agriculture. He was regarded as a pioneer among the Hmong community in Fresno, owning many farm tractors and equipment. He ploughed thousands of acres for other farmers and himself. Several years later, he moved to Florida permanently. He was a very successful farmer who enjoyed being sun-kissed and dancing in the rain, and sometimes, even in his perceived shortcomings, he found happiness. Unfortunate circumstances resulted in his short life. He has always said he does not have time to be ill. As of today, he is no longer ill. His stress has subsided, and there is no longer a concern about time. Survivors include his wives Mai Chang, Mee Fang, Chieng Xiong, twelve children Pov, Xang, Yang, Choua, Shoua, Yeu, Chang, Cia, Cheng, See, Nellie, and Who, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and seven siblings, Choua, Tong, Chia, Vang, Mang, Tru, and Yer. The traditional Hmong funeral ceremony will be held at the Robarts Garden Chapel for three days beginning Saturday, June 18, 2022, through Sunday, June 19, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., and on Monday, June 20, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., followed by burial in the Wauchula Cemetery at 1140 US-17, Wauchula, FL 33873. A luncheon will follow the burial at the residence of Mr. Hang, 708 Steve Roberts Special, Zolfo Spring, FL 33890.
