Richard Lee Whidden 40, of Hardee County passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Highlands County, Florida. Richard was born in Lake Wales, Fl on February 22, 1980. He was a lifelong resident of Hardee County working as a lineman for Pike Electric, and dedicating his time to being a baseball coach. He was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship in Sebring, Fl. Richard is survived by his grandmother Margaret Ward of Wauchula, Fl.; adoptive parents Harold and Nancy Bandy of Wauchula, Fl.; biological mother Kim Whidden of Lakeland, Fl,; son Logan Whidden of Sebring, Fl.; brother Rodney Whidden of Lakeland, Fl.; sisters Krissy Haines (Dale) of Bowling Green, Fl. and Missy Baringer of Ocala, Fl.; step-sister Sierra Slater of Lakeland, Fl.; nephew Preston Baringer of Wauchula, Fl.; nieces Kaylen Baringer of Wauchula and Amber’Rose Haines of Bowling Green, Fl.; His Lineman team, friends and coworkers and His baseball team and friends. Memorial Service will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Davis officiating.
