Alvin Neil English, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. He was born in Arcadia, Florida on April 1, 1949, and lived in Ona his entire life. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the US Army. He retired from the University of Florida Ona Research Station after working for 36 years and was a lifelong member of Lily Union Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Colby Alvin English.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Teresa Harward English, daughter Julie Warren (Matt), grandson Lane Warren, brother Paul English (Sue), and 3 nephews and great-nephews.
A one-hour visitation will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral service following at 11:00 A.M. with Military Honors rendered by Herger Williams American Legion Post #2 Wauchula, Florida.
