Amye Marie Gause
Amye slipped into the arms of the Lord unexpectedly on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Her big heart succumbed to the brutal disease of juvenile diabetes that had plagued her body over the years.
She was born in Lakeland on November 20, 1974 to Skipper Gause and Janie Gause Trimble.
At an early age she was like a fish in water and proved it with her great swimming and diving abilities at Hardee High School where she held many records. She also played on the basketball team. She graduated in 1992.
She was known and loved for her southern cooking. She was loved for her chicken and dumplings and guava cobbler. If anyone needed a meal or anything she was there. You never had to ask twice. She owned her own restaurant, waitressed, kept books or anything else she needed to do. She loved the crafts of making wreath, flower arrangements and wood works.
She was proceeded in death by her daughter LaRae Drawdy, paternal grandparents GB and Mary Gause and maternal grandfather Paul Brown as well as her nephew Liam Gause.
She is survived by father, Skipper Gause, Wauchula, mother Janie Trimble, Daytona Beach, FL, brother Steve Gause (Janet), and precious nephew and niece Lucas and Olivia Gause, Springfield, MO maternal grandmother Bonnie "Meemaw" Meagher and longtime companion Bruce Eaton as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Her "pet children" Booger and Baby Girl will be at a loss without Amye.
Her beautiful heart and soul will be forever cherished and missed.
Visitation services will be held Thursday February 18, 2021 at Robarts Funeral Home, 529 W Main St., Wauchula, FL from 6:00-8:00 pm with services of celebration of life Friday February 19, at First Baptist Church of Wauchula Chapel at 10:00 am with graveside following to Wauchula Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers you may also make donations to Amye Gause Fund at Wauchula State Bank or The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
