Aurora Garcia Alvarez, 72 of Ona, passed away January 18, 2019. She was born on June 28, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was a resident of Hardee County since 1964 coming from Blytheville, Arkansas. She is a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church.
Aurora retired from housekeeping at Hardee Manor.
She is preceded in in death by her husband Manuel T. Alvarez Sr. Parents Jesus and Aurora Garcia.
She is survived by Son Manuel T. Alvarez Jr. of Ona, Fl., Daughters Paula Marie Alvarez, of Zolfo Springs, Fl. Margaret Rodriguez of Ona, Fl. Brother Benny Garcia of West Palm Beach, Fl. Sisters Jane Morales of West Palm Beach, Fl Virginia Garcia Casarez of West Palm Beach, Fl. Delfina Garcia of West Palm Beach, Fl. Christina Garcia of West Palm Beach, Fl. Angie Torres of Belle Glades, Fl .; six grandsons, George Rodriguez, Hugo Rodriguez, Jr., Ramiro Zamora, Jr., Juaquin Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Jesus Zamora; 3 granddaughters, Sylvia Paniagua, Yudi Valenzuela, Maria Rudolph; 25 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Friday January 25, 2019 starting at 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM in the Robarts Garden Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:00 PM at St. Michaels Catholic Church.
Father Timothy Van Zee will be officiating services.
