Aurora Ruiz Rodriguez, 65, a resident of Hardee and Polk Counties for most of her life, passed away on July 26, 2020 at Lakeland Regional Health in Lakeland. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 22, 1955. Aurora was a member of Turning Point Worship Center in Bartow, Florida. She worked as CNA in Winter Haven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Francisca Ruiz, sisters, Pamfila Morales and Janie Ronguillo and brother, Ruben Ruiz.

Survivors include her son, Jose Ornelas Jr. of Bartow, Fl; daughters, Diana Lynn Ornelas of Bartow, Fl; Florence Victoria Ornelas, of Lithia, Fl; Ivy Lynn Rodriguez of Bartow, Fl; Irene Rodriguez of Valrico, Fl; Carla Rodriguez of Bartow, Fl; brothers, Narciso Ruiz of Texas; Moses Ruiz of Ohio; Raul Ruiz of Texas; sisters, Paula Vasquez of Texas; Margarita Solice of Lakeland, Fl; As well as 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be on Sunday, August 2, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in the Robarts Garden Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Robarts Garden Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Polo Morales and Tereso Estrada. Interment will take place at Bowling Green Cemetery.
