Barbara J Garner, 69, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, in Highlands County, Florida. Barbara was born on October 31, 1951, in Quitman, Georgia. She lived in Hardee County for the majority of her life and was a retired educator. Baptist by faith Barbara was a member of Gardner Baptist Church; she also spent her time being a Sunday school teacher at Riverview Baptist Church. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Rondoe Lindsey; her mother, Lorene Gilley; Son Robert D. Garner Sr.; Brothers, Donnie Lindsey, Lamar Lindsey, Larry Gilley, David Gilley; and her sisters, Helen Lindsey, and Robin Tillman. She is survived by her husband Cecil Garner; sons, Russell L. Garner (Trinity) of Wauchula, Fl, and R. Lamar Morris (Donna) of Davenport, FL; daughters, Susan Gilmore (Frank) of Hartford, AL, and Pam Garner, her daughter in law; Barbara's Brother, Tommy Gilley (Macy) of Plant City, FL; her Sisters, Shirley Wilson (Randy) of Bradenton, FL, Linda Mayberry of Cordele, GA, Martha Wilburn of Arcadia, FL, and Sandra Corcoran of Port Charlotte, FL; She was also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on October 3, 2021, from 6 pm to 8 pm. in Robarts Garden Chapel. Funeral Services for Barbara Garner take place at Gardner Baptist church on Monday, October 4, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Bowling Green Cemetery.
