Betty Elaine Chester Waters, 77, of Bowling Green, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 19, 2014. She was born in North Lewisburg, Ohio on September 26, 1936. Betty had been a resident of Hardee County since 1964, coming from Quincy, Florida. She was a homemaker and a member of Fort Green Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Waters, and a son, Steve Chester. Survivors include two sons, Mike Chester of Bowling Green, and Ronnie Chester and wife Martha of Frostproof; three brothers, Paul Davis, Robert Oliver Organ, and Edward Lee Organ, all of Ohio; one sister, Joy Honaker of Ohio; six grandchildren, Kara Goodwyn and husband Jeremy, Amanda Blas and husband Micky, West Chester and wife Laren, Brandi Maldonado and husband Travis, Waylon Chester, Ryan Chester; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Fort Green Baptist Church from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., with funeral services at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Steve McGaughey is officiating. Interment is in Fort Green Methodist Cemetery.
