Beverly Alice Shedd, 77, of Arcadia, Florida passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 in her home at 803 N. Roberts Ave. She was born May 1, 1935 in Boylston, Massachusetts and has lived in DeSoto County for the past 36 years. Beverly had always dreamed of owning and operating a day care and did so for 26 years, until retiring. "Miss Bevie" loved all "her babies" as if they were her own. She remained owner of Tender Care Daycare until her passing, but upon her retirement, she and her husband, Warren set off on many ventures across the country in their motor home, racking up many miles visiting old friends and making new ones along the way. Beverly is survived by her beloved husband, Warren Shedd, Sr., of Arcadia, daughter, Valerie Manley, of Arcadia, sisters; Lillian Larson, of North Port, Florida, Jeannie Collins, of Sarasota, Dolores Schmidt, of Arcadia, grandchildren;, Ragina Panarelli, Rachelle Manley, Dereck Manley, Gary Shedd, Jr., Jennifer Vandenlurgh, Rebecca Maloney, and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sons; Warren Shedd, Jr. and Gary Paul Shedd. A memorial service will be held, Friday June 29, 2012 at 6:00 pm at Robarts Funeral Home, Arcadia, Florida.
