Gene Alsabrook, 67, of Bowling Green, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Florida Hospital Wauchula. He was born in Dade City, Florida on August 27, 1947 and had been a resident of Hardee County for seven years, coming from Charleston, South Carolina. Gene served in the United States Army, retiring as Major in 1984.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Alsabrook of Bowling Green; three sons, Kevin Alsabrook of Indianapolis, Griff Troff of Bowlilng Green, and Ryan Trott (Traci) of Goose Creek, South Carolina; one daughter, Tiffany Alsabrook of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers, Robert Alsabrook (Marie) of Homa, Louisiana, and Robbie Alsabrook (Lori) of Avon Park; one sister, Patricia Casey of Avon Park; two grandchildren, Phillip Hatfield and Blake Trott; nephew, Jamie Casey and niece Chelsea Alsabrook, both of Avon Park.

Memorial services with full Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Bowling Green. Reverend Amy Harper is officiating.
