Carlos Roy Johnson, 78, of Wauchula, passed away on July 28, 2022 in Tampa. He was born in Madrid, Alabama on October 6, 1943. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired as a supervisor from C. F. Industries.
As a loving family man, Roy enjoyed spending as much time as he could outdoors, whether this be up on family hunting trips to Apalachicola National Forest or going out on the boat to fish. Even though he traveled a lot to see the world, Roy loved to have family cookouts as much as possible. He was a very supportive man who would attend sporting events, concerts, or anything his grandkids were involved in. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife Helen Johnson; son, Stevie Johnson (Amy); daughters, Chastity Bender (John), Andrea Dance (Donnie), and Rachel Ramos (Andy); brothers, Wayne Johnson (Pat) and Billy Johnson (Cindy); sisters, Josephine Johnson and Judy Crawford; and 9 grandchildren, Kyle, Trey, Elizabeth, Olivia, Elijah, Ally, Addy, Gavin and Brooklynn.
A visitation will be held at Robarts Garden Chapel on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Services and interment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 12:30 PM.
