Cassie Bell Brown, 91, of Bowling Green, passed awy on October 16, 2011 in Lakeland. Mrs. Brown was born on February 16, 1920 in Colquit County, Georgia and had been a resident of Hardee County most of her life.
She attended First Baptist Church of Zolfo Springs and had retired from G. Pierce Woods Hospital in Arcadia where she was employed as a nurse. She had also retired from the School Board bus garage as a bus helper. Memberships include the O.E.S. Bowling Green Chapter, Past Worthy Matron-O.E.S. Ft. Meade Chapter, and Hillbillie- Sahib Temple.
She was preceded in death a son, Mark McEntyre, and husband, Paige Brown.
Survivors include one son, Michael McEntyre of Bowling Green; one sister, Jo Averitt of Wagner, SC; six grandchildren, Michael McEntyre, Jr., Steve McEntyre, Robby McKee, Chris Joiner, Matt McEntyre, and Danielle McEntyre; and ten great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Remembrance Celebration will be held at Pioneer Park on Saturday, October 22nd from 12-4 p.m. for family and friends. Please bring a covered dish to share.
