Charles Thomas "Tommy" Bryan, age 66, of New Zion, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, August 20, 2016. He was a loving husband and father. He was a life-long resident of Hardee County. He worked in agricultural chemicals for over 30 years with the Asgrow Florida Company and Florida Fertilizer. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church where he served as Sunday school director and on the cemetery committee. He enjoyed listening to music, watching NASCAR, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Brenda Davis Bryan, his daughters Shayla Ray Bryan of New Zion and Katie Durastanti (Stuart) of Bowling Green; his brothers Kenny Bryan of New Zion and Gary Bryan (Ilene) of North Carolina; one granddaughter Charlotte Durastanti; and one niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Emily Bryan. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Robarts Family Garden Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at New Zion Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
