Cheryl J. Westmoreland, 63, of Bowling Green, Florida passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, in Sebring, Florida. Cheryl was born in Sikeston, Missouri on August 9, 1959, to JW and Geraldine Hays. She has been a resident of Bowling Green, Florida since 1964, she was a Hardee County school bus driver and second Mom to everyone who had the honor of riding bus 489. Cheryl enjoyed visiting with friends and family, but most of all she enjoyed fishing with her grandson and watching him play baseball. She is preceded in death by both of her parents. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband David Westmoreland; daughter Joni Westmoreland Simmons; grandson Zachary Simmons; brothers Eugene Drake (Linda), and Kenneth "JR" Hays (Keri); sister Corie Lukawski (Paul); 6 nieces; 6 nephews; and 25 great nieces/nephews. A visitation will be held at the Robarts Garden Chapel on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 10-11 A.M. followed by funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at Bowling Green Cemetery.
