Daniel B. Hernandez, 56, of Wauchula, passed away in Miami on June 10, 2011. Daniel was born in Fredericksburg, TX on Dec. 7, 1954 and came to Hardee County from Texas in 1968. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and was employed as a truss builder for Carlton Construction.
Daniel was a hard-working man who adored his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved all his family unconditionally. He is someone you could count on at any time for anything. With unconditional wisdom, a man of few words left you with a sense of wonder, worth, and always a smile.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Borjas Hernandez, Jr. and a grandchild, Cayden Alex Hernandez.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Hernandez of Wauchula; 2 sons, Cruz Hernandez and Cody Hernandez, of Wauchula; 3 daughters, Frances Johnson of Clearwater, Cynthia Hernandez and Crystal Hernandez of Wauchula; 4 brothers, James, Augustin, Junior, and Abel Hernandez, all of Wauchula; 3 sisters, Virginia Hernandez of Arizona, Josie Garza and Lily Herrera, of Wauchula; 5 grandchildren, Jamil Edward Johnson, Jr., Jordyn Marie Hodges, Kalissa Lee Fleurimond, William Fleurimond, Jr., and Jerome Darrell Hodges.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14th from 3-4 p.m. at Robarts Garden Chapel, followed by graveside services at 4 p.m. at Wauchula Cemetery with Rev. Adrian Pierre of St. Michael Catholic Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
