Deborah Prestridge, 54, of Wauchula, passed away on Oct. 4, 2010 in Wauchula. She was born on June 21, 1956 in Wauchula, and had been a lifelong Wauchula resident. Debbie was a member of the Bowling Green Church of God and a Foster Care Advocate, being a foster mom for 18 years helping 200 children. She was "Mother of the Year" for two years. She was an office manager, employed with Hardee County for 33 years. Survivors include 10 children, Steven, Tiffany, Austin, Julie, and Selina Prestridge, and Araceli Gomez of Wauchula, Angela Stone of Gainesville, Roberta Wilkins of Winter Haven, Mary and Liz Cabriella of Wauchula; 2 brothers, B. T. Prestridge and Dwight Prestridge of Wauchula; 3 sisters, Jean Prestridge of Wauchula, Wanda Mishoe of Zolfo Springs, and Carolyn Ridley of Helen, GA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 6th from 6-8 p.m. at Bowling Green Church of God, with funeral services at the church on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Cliff Gobble, Rev. Michael Howell, and Rev. E. A. Holbrooks will officiate. Burial is in Wauchula Cemetery.
