Donna LaFaye Morris, 82 of Bowling Green, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 2, 2022, surrounded by her devoted family that loved her immeasurably
She was born to James P. "Jake" and Iris Nichols on November 9, 1939, in Lansing, Michigan.
She served her community as a nurse for decades and retired from the Hardee County Sheriff's office.
Donna loved her family, each and every one had a special place in her heart, and all who passed through her door.
She had a flair for life and laughter, whether it was offroading by the moonlight, telling jokes, dancing a jig, shopping for gifts, reading a good mystery novel, or playing a competitive game of cards. She was a consummate baker and no holiday was complete without her buckeyes or some other special treat.
Donna is survived by her sister, Dorothy Hunter of Montana, brother, Jimmy Nichols of Bowling Green, her son Ernie Hogue (Myrna) of Odessa, Fl., daughters, Jan Shores (Willie) of Thonotosassa, Fl., Nan Prevatt of Wauchula, Fl.
Twelve grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
And many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents James P. "Jake" and Iris Nichols, her daughter Ann Hogue and 3 grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at Bowling Green Cemetery Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. Scott Tharp will be officiating.
