Dorothy R. Harrell, 84, of Wauchula, died Aug. 4, 2010 at her home. She was born in Hahira, GA and had been a resident of Hardee County since 1997, coming from Tampa. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wauchula and a retired registered nurse. She was a loving wife and mother, and loved her flower garden and doing quilting and needlepoint. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Lee "Bud" Harrell; daughter, Marilyn (Jerry) Lannings of St. Petersburg; step-daughter, Mary Jane (Darwin) McLeod of Wauchula; daughter-in-law, Mari Singletary of Tampa; grandchildren, Cara Dickerson, Wesley Singletary, Scott Singletary, Jeff Lanning, Mark Lanning, and B. J. McLeod; and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010 from 1-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Wauchula followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. Rev. Ken Smith will officiate. Burial is in Wauchula Cemetery.
