Dorothy L. Roberts, 78, of Wauchula, passed away at Florida Hospital in Sebring on December 3, 2012. She was born on April 19, 1934 in Wauchula, and had been a lifelong resident of Hardee County. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Florida's First Assembly of God. She will be fondly remembered for her creativity, humor, boundless energy, love of children and sewing.
Dorothy is reunited in death with her husband, Jason E. Roberts, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage, and her daughter, Sherry Lynn Seybert.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Roberts and wife Linda of Lakeland, and Marcus Roberts of Zolfo Springs; one sister, Sylvia Williams of Troy, Alabama; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. followed by services at 11:00 a.m. at Robarts Garden Chapel. Pastor Jeff Fowler of Florida's First Assembly of God will officiate. Interment is at Oak Grove Cemetery.
