She somehow knew those that needed her and was able to offer them comfort in her own special way.
She wandered into our lives one cold dark rainy night, coaxed out of the bushes with food, and brought inside to get warm and dry. She was her own cat and lived life on her terms. We quickly realized she was not an inside cat and only tolerated being indoors through our Florida storms. She was a special cat and communicated with us her wants daily. She was the boss. She had a special relationship with each of us and we all loved her dearly. So many times, families would share that she was a comfort to them at just the right time. She somehow knew those that needed her and was able to offer them comfort in her own special way. She even had the postman on her schedule and would often be found waiting on the porch for him for a few head scratches. She was a fighter and gave it her all fighting the illness that ultimately took her life. She went peacefully in the arms of those that loved and cared for her. She was one of a kind and never will there be another cat like her. She left her mark with those tiny paws of hers and will never be forgotten.
