Edward Wayne Jones, 68, passed away on May 29, 2026 in Polk County, Florida. He was born on July 14, 1957 in Miami, Florida to Gerald Jones and Linda Gunther Jones. A veteran of the United States Army, he made his living as a Database Administrator for the Highlands County Clerk of Courts.

He is preceded in death by both parents; his maternal Grandmother Irene Howard; his paternal Grandmother Marguerite Jones; and his brothers Timothy Howard and Scott Jones. He is survived by his wife Dagmar Jones of Wauchula, Florida; his son Cory Jones of Wauchula, Florida; his daughter Haley Jones of Sebring, Florida; and his sisters Holly Schiro and husband Joe of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, and Penny Bass and husband Jeffrey of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

A memorial service will be held at the Robarts Garden Chapel on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 3:00 P.M.

The Family has requested that no flowers be sent to the Memorial Service, please make donations to Change of Pace Adult Day Care in Sebring, Florida in his honor in lieu of flowers.
