Elfriede K. Stadie, 89, passed away in Bartow on May 17, 2011. She was born in Halle, Germany on June 12, 1921. She came to Hardee County from Michigan in 1976. Mrs. Stadie was a member of the Peace Valley Lutheran Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Klaus and Sue Stadie of Lakeland, Mark and Joyce Stadie of Michigan, Matthew and Sylvia Stadie of Wauchula, and Erick and Brandi Stadie of Avon Park; six daughters and sons-in-law: Margaret and Joe Javor of Michigan, Erika and Rick Toddriff of Ohio, Trudy Onore of Michigan, Marie and John Sullivan of Lakeland, Siegried and Walt Cripps of Chuluota, Fla, and Irene and Stacy Carroll of Bowling Green; 31 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 23rd at Robarts Garden Chapel with Rev. Mike Graham officiating. Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Burial is in Wauchula Cemetery.
