Eugene Johnson, 63, of Wauchula, passed away at Florida Hospital in Orlando on February 24, 2013. Mr. Johnson was born in Wauchula on November 16, 1949 and had been a lifelong Hardee County resident. He attended Faith Temple Ministries Church of God and had been employed by IMC as a security guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Lois Wycoff; father, Robert Johnson; brother, James Johnson; and sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Danny Harrell.
Survivors include his wife, Michele Johnson of Wauchula; two sons, Donald "Donny" Johnson and wife Debbra of Lakeland, and Michael Johnson of Florida; one sister, Virginia Oden and husband Gary of Wauchula; sister-in-law, Louise Johnson of Georgia; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Wauchula Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Doyle Staton officiating.
