G. W. "Pete" Albritton, 75, of Arcadia, died Monday, March 7, 2011 at his home. Mr. Albritton was born in Hillsborough Co., and moved to DeSoto Co. from Hardee Co. thirty years ago. He attended Pine Level Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church of Bowling Green. He was a block mason. His wife, Dorice Polk Albritton, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Anitia Albritton (Myles) of Bowling Green, and Ruth Ann Soles (David) of Arcadia; one brother, Danny Albritton (Dot) of Crystal River; one sister, Barbara Mott of Ft. Meade; four grandchildren, Emmett and William Albritton, and Mandy and Kasey Soles; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10th from 6-8 p.m. at Robarts Garden Chapel, Wauchula. Funeral services are at 2:30 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of Bowling Green with Mr. Lavon Cobb and Rev. Steve Polk officiating. Interment is in Bowling Green Cemetery.
