George Rivera, 52, of Bowling Green, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in Sebring. He was born in Denver, Colorado and had lived in Bowling Green most of his life, coming here from Texas. He was Catholic and worked in the citrus groves. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raul Rivera.
Survivors include ten sisters and brothers and their families, Maria Escobedo (Jose) of Wauchula, Juan Rivera Jr. (Norma) of McAllen, TX, Carmen Rivera of Bowling Green, Robert Rivera (Gilda) of Bowling Green, Ofelia R. Hernandez (James) of Sebring, Alfonso Rivera (Maria) of Mercedes, TX, Martin Rivera (Flora) of Babson Park, Francisco Rivera (Angelina) of Wauchula, Reynaldo Rivera (Glenda) of Jacksonville, and Paulino Rivera (Terri) of Georgia.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 26th at Robarts Garden Chapel at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Jason Delgado officiating. Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Burial is in Bowling Green Cemetery.
