Gerald Richard Henry, 81, of Wauchula, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Florida Hospital in Sebring. He was born in Tipton, Indiana on April 2, 1934 and had been a Hardee County resident since 2004, coming from Ocala, Florida. Mr. Henry was a plastic mold injector in the tool-and-dye industry and was a Catholic by faith. He served our country in the United States Army National Guard and had been a lifetime member of the Elk and Moose Lodges.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Nina Henry, wife, Sandra Henry, brother, Ed Henry, and sister, Evelyn Armstrong. Survivors include three sons, Jeff Henry and wife Susan of Wauchula, Don Henry and Wes Golon, both of Brooksville, Florida; one daughter, Teresa Thompson and husband Mark of Fort Meade; two brothers, Bud Henry, and Fred Henry and wife Dee, all of Tipton, Indiana; one sister, Judy Tansey and husband Steve of Tipton, Indiana; grandson, Adam Henry and wife Sylvia of Wauchula and their children, Kaydance Owens and Laynee Henry; grandson, Jeremy Kratzer and wife Heather of Columbus, Indiana and their children, Brodie, Katie, Aidan, and Flynn; grandson, Andy Kratzer and wife Carrie of Longwood, Florida and their children, Rachel, Abigail, Aimee, and Taylor Bass; granddaughter, Leah Henry of Wauchula, and her children, Ashton and Kynadee White.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family suggests that donations be made in Gerald's memory to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
