Grabiel "Paul" Valdez, Sr., 50, of Jonesville, North Carolina, passed away on January 11, 2012 in North Carolina. He was born in Rockley County, Texas on January 24, 1961. Paul had been a lifelong resident of Wauchula prior to moving to North Carolina two years ago. He was employed as a laborer and was a Catholic.
Survivors include one son, Grabiel Valdez, Jr., of Jonesville, NC; three daughters, Patsy Valdez, Vicky Valdez, and Paula Valdez, all of Jonesville, NC; six brothers, Chris Lopez, Arturo Valdez, Joe Valdez, and Elias Valdez, all of Wauchula, Rudy Valdez of Marion, IN, and Gilbert Valdez of Bradenton; 5 sisters, Lupe Valdez, Alicia Rivas, Becky Rios, Melba Rodriguez, and Kathy Martinez, all of Wauchula; and 13 grandchildren.
Services were held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Robarts Garden Chapel. Fr. Juan Carlos Sack officiated.
