Iris E. Nichols, 91, of Bowling Green, passed away on August 3, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was born September 9, 1920 at Lake Garfield, Florida. She had been a resident of Hardee County since 1954, coming from Michigan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bowling Green and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jake) P. Nichols and three grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy L. Hunter of Great Falls, Montana, and Donna L. Morris of Bowling Green; one son, Curtis James (Jimmy) Nichols of Bowling Green; one sister, Betty Carlton of Bowling Green; 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services are at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Robarts Garden Chapel. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Rev. Roland Davis will officiate. Burial is in Bowling Green Cemetery.
