J. Jim Holmes went home to be with the Lord December 10, 2017. He passed away at the Florida Hospital Orlando South. Jim was born September 16, 1937 in Newbury, Ohio to John B. Holmes and Viola King. He was a resident of Windsor Ohio coming from Newbury Ohio. He and his wife have been winter residents in Hardee County since the 1970's. Jim Was the President and owner of Samco Inc. in Windsor, Ohio as well as serving in the National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Beverly J. Seaman and Holly K. Dodge.
He is survived by his loving wife Shirley A (Sutton) Holmes of Middlefield Ohio, Sons Richard N. Holmes of Arizona, Randall C. Holmes (Sherry) of Ohio, Daughters Cathy D. Kolsky of Ohio, Julie M. Cramer (Tracy) of Ohio, Cheryl L. Fitzgerald (Jim) of North Carolina, Carol A. Barshney Ohio, Sharrah J. Kaferle (Tim) of Ohio, Brother Robert E. Holmes (Katherine) of Ohio, as well as 16 grandchildren and 28 Great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in July in Ohio.
