Eddie Gilliard, 72, of Wauchula, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 in Sebring. He was born in Zolfo Springs, Florida on October 26, 1943. Mr. Gilliard had been a lifelong resident of Hardee County and was a member of the Bayside Community Church. He was co-owner of Gilliard Bros. Auto Salvage.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Maurice Gilliard.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Gilliard of Wauchula; three sons, Mark Gilliard and wife Laura of Wauchula, Matthew Gilliard of Port Charlotte, and William "Willie" Gilliard and wife Jessica of Wauchula; one daughter, Nicole Lindsey and husband Gerry of Wauchula; one brother, Jimmy Gilliard and wife Renee of Brandon; two sisters, Peggy Gambrell of Port Charlotte, and Grace Thomas and husband John of Palatka; and 14 grandchildren, Robbie Jones, Lexi Gilliard, Savannah and Sarah Beth Albritton, Bryce Gilliard, Tucker Albritton, Hayden, Quintin, and Kellon Lindsey, Presley Gilliard, Jaden Hernandez, Casin, Alyssa, and Ava Gilliard.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 3:30 PM at the Bayside Community Church in Wauchula Hills. Graveside services are at Wauchula Cemetery at 5:00 PM. Pastor Willie Gilliard will officiate.
