James Johnston, Jr., 62, of Zolfo Springs, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Mr. Johnston was born in Damascas, Georgia on August 19, 1949 and had been a Zolfo Springs resident most of his life. He was a member of Lake Dale Baptist Church and was employed by Hardee County as a mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Johnston of Zolfo Springs; mother, Jean Johnston of Bowling Green; one son, James Wesley Johnston of Port Charlotte; two daughters, Glendasue Alejos of South Carolina; one sister, Joanne Kujawa of Alabama; and six grandchildren, Dakota, Madison, Jordan, and Dominic Johnston, and Maria and Elias Alejos.
Memorial services will be held at Lake Dale Baptist Church on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Albert Blum officiating.
