James Arie Richardson "Coon", 83, of Wauchula, passed away at his home on December 30, 2010. He was born in Nashville, Georgia on May 5, 1927 and had been a resident of Wauchula for 30 years, coming from Englewood. He was a crane operator.
Coon was an "old school" Floridian, enjoying hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was very generous and concerned about other's needs above his own.
Survivors include four sons, James, Robert, Timothy, and Darrell Richardson, all of Englewood; one daughter, Darleen Richardson Baker of Corbin, Kentucky; two sisters, Margaret Simpson of Wauchula and Nina Bell Villanueva of Naples; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Robarts Garden Chapel from 2:30-3:00 p.m. with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Rev. James Miller will officiate. Burial is in Lake Dale Cemetery.
