James B Satterfield, 100, of Zolfo Springs, Florida passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. James was born May 12, 1922, in Woodruff, South Carolina to Valus and Nevada (Brockman) Satterfield. He has been a resident of Hardee County since 1944, proudly served our Country in the Army Air Core, WW2 Veteran, and his favorite hobby was taking his wife fishing. James worked for the Wauchula Ford Dealership before opening and running his own Mechanic Garage. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Josephine Satterfield. James is survived by his son James Ben Satterfield Jr.; daughter Barbara (Satterfield) Reigle; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on January 31, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Zolfo Springs from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. Marcus Shackelford will be officiating. Interment will take place at New Hope Cemetery.
