Jeffrey William Hartley, 61, passed away October 23, 2025, in Wauchula, Florida. He was born November 15, 1963, in Yakima, Washington, to Lawrence W. Hartley and Aubory Grimsely. A construction laborer by trade, Jeff lived most of his life in Hardee County.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Aubrey Hartley, and by his brother Monty Nelson and Monty's wife, Shirley Nelson.


Jeff is survived by his girlfriend, Selina Price, and her children Brandon Price and Mary Beth; his son, Steven Cohen of Bradenton, FL; his daughters, Shaylyn Konior (and her husband Patrick) of Bradenton, FL, and Shelby Hartley of Tampa, FL; his brothers Tom Nelson of Vancouver, Washington, Eric Nelson (wife Julie) of Deer Park, Washington, and Steve Nelson (wife Paula Lagerquist) of Spokane, Washington; his sisters Dena Treharn of Bradenton, FL, Pamela Purvis (husband Glenn) of Ellenton, FL, and Sonja Dobson (husband France) of Duluth, Georgia; and his grandchildren Gracey Corley, Levi Gidden, and Atlas Cohen.


A memorial service will be held on November 15, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Fort Green Baptist Church
