Jessie Martinez, 48, of Wauchula, passed away on January 19, 2013 at the Bartow Center. Jessie was born in Beeville, Texas on October 15, 1964 and had been a Hardee County resident most of his life. He was Catholic, and was employed by TNT Reclamation.
Jessie is survived by his mother and step-father, Aurelia Martinez and Jose Torres of Wauchula; one son, Jessie James Martinez of Fort Meade; two brothers, Adam Torres of Wauchula, and Joe Torres, Jr. of Zolfo Springs; and two sisters, Nancy Butler of Bowling Green, and Aurelia Lozano of Zolfo Springs.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Robarts Garden Chapel from 6-8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass is Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Father Felix Fuentes will officiate. Interment is in Wauchula Cemetery.
