Joann M. Wells, 67, of Wauchula, passed away on July 12, 2012 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring. Joann was born in Connecticut on June 15, 1945 and moved to Hardee County from Lithia 46 years ago. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R. L. and Louise Strickland, and a brother, Ronald Strickland.
Survivors include her husband, Wesley Jim Wells of Wauchula; two sons, Wesley Jim Wells Jr. and wife Tracy of Wauchula, and Robert Joseph Wells and wife Debbie of Texas; one daughter, Julie Ann Davis and husband Ronald of Texas; three brothers, David Strickland of Lithia, Richard Rilling and Harry Rilling of Norwalk, Connecticut; one sister, Audrey Honassee and husband Al of Sarasota; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, July 15th at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. J. Harold Davis officiating.
