John Franklin Dickinson, 72, of Englewood, passed away on August 12, 2012 at his home. He was born in Rose, New York on February 11, 1940. He moved to Englewood from Wauchula 20 years ago. Mr. Dickinson was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Wauchula, and had been employed as a construction manager.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Dickinson, and parents, Rob and Josie Norris.
Survivors include two sons, Todd Durden and wife Tess of Wauchula, and Eric Durden and wife Kathy of Mulberry; two daughters, Jill Scalley and husband Donald of Englewood, and Amy Wilson and husband Brad of Bowling Green; one sister, Helen Smith of New York; and nine grandchildren, Alex See, Ciara Dickinson, Lindsey Scalley, Tanor Durden, Tori Durden, Amanda Wilson, Cassidy Wilson, Kara Durden and Cole Durden.
