John Dorsey, 43, of Wauchula, passed away on July 31, 2012. He was born on September 30, 1968 in Charleston, West Virginia and had been a resident of Hardee County for one year, coming from Sebring. He was a truck driver for Hardee County Disposal, and served in the U. S. Army.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Sgt. James Michael Dorsey.
John is survived by his father, James P. Dorsey of Crawley, West Virginia; mother, Dolly Rae Dorsey of Lewisburg, West Virginia; brothers, James Lee Dorsey of Missouri and Jeffrey Paul Dorsey of Wauchula; sisters, Michelle Lorri Richards of Crawley, West Virginia, Star Sha-Heen Rivers of Georgia and Shalyn Jennifer Hernandez of Georgia; 8 nieces and nephews; and wife Lisa Dorsey of New Smyrna Beach.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Robarts Garden Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services are in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Rod Cannon officiating. Burial is in Wauchula Cemetery.
