Jose G. Flores, 70, of Wauchula, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 in Lakeland. He was born in Mexico on September 19, 1945 and had been a Hardee County resident for most of his life, moving here from Texas. Mr. Flores was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and had been employed as a crew leader in the citrus industry.

Survivors include his wife Maria Flores of Wauchula; seven children, Rosa M. Badillo and husband Ciro, Virgnia Flores, Juanita Flores, Maria L. Martinez and husband Ricardo, Jose G. Flores Jr. and wife Anna Gonzalez, Margarita Flores, and Angelica Flores and husband Carlos Gutierrez; three sisters, Alicia Trigueros, Maria Valdez, and Concepcion Rosas; 27 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Robarts Garden Chapel from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Mass is Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Augustin Bollini officiating. Burial is in Wauchula Cemetery.
