Jose "Joe" Medrano, 72, of Zolfo Springs, died on April 17, 2012 at his home. Joe was born in Edcouch, Texas on September 12, 1939 and came to Hardee County in 1960. He was a laborer and truck driver in farming, and was Catholic by faith.
He is survived by two sons, Shellar Pilkington of Wauchula and Raymond Medrano of Michigan; three daughters, Audra King of Wauchula, Josie Medrano of Michigan, and Suzanna Medrano of Auburndale; one brother, Simon Medrano of Zolfo Springs; seven sisters, Estella Mendoza of Arcadia, Josefina Medrano of Wauchula, Maria Medrano of Wauchula, Matilda Medrano of Lakeland, Linda Medrano of Lakeland, Judy Medrano of Wauchula, and Natalie Herrera of Arkansas; two grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Prayers will be said for Jose at 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 27th at St. Michael Catholic Church.
