Jose Angel Rivera, 57, resident of Hardee County for most of his life, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 in his home in Bowling Green, Fl. He was born in Floydada, TX. On February. 13, 1962. Jose was a Christian by faith and a member of Bayside Community Church in Wauchula, Fl. he worked in maintenance for Peace River Citrus Plant in Bartow, Fl.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Rivera and Angelita Villarreal Rivera.

He is survived by loving wife Elisa Rivera of Bowling Green, Fl., son Jose Angle Rivera Jr. (Lorenza Salazar) of Bowling Green, Fl. daughters Louisa Angelita Juarez (Maximino Juarez) of Bowling Green, Fl., Michelle Lynn Rodriguez (David Rodriguez) of Bowling Green, Fl.; Brothers Daniel (Mary) and Arnulfo Rivera of MI.; Samuel Rivera (Josie) of Zolfo Springs, Fl.; Raynaldo and Victor Rivera of MN.; Jose Luis Rivera (Teresa) of TX.; Roy (Susan) and David Rivera of MN.; Sisters Gloria Rayes and Odelia Cisneros of GA.; Maria Rivera (Arnaldo) of Bowling Green, Fl.; Irene Cortes and Maria Elena Diaz of MN.; and Christina Gonzalez (Cecelio) of Winter Haven, Fl. As well as his grandchildren, Audrina and Ariana Rivera, Clark Rodriguez, Mariah, Elijah, George and Sariah Alamia and Roman Florez of Bowling Green, Fl.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Bayside Community Church from 1:00-3:00 PM. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 3:00 PM with Reverend Willie Gilliard officiating.
