Joyce Faye Perez peacefully passed away on June 9, 2026, at her home in Ft Meade, Florida surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 28, 1958, in Avon Park, FL.

Joyce was a lifelong resident of Wauchula, Florida where she retired after dedicating 17 years to Hardee Senior High Cafeteria. She was feisty and would tell you like it is, hardworking, and honest. She loved cooking and baking for everyone, and was best known for it. Most of all, she loved spending time with her kids and family.

She is survived by her daughters Margarita Perez (Saul), Maranda Perez (Urbano), Jessica Staton (Billy), Maria Vansickle (Mark); Her son Jesus Perez (Crystal), Grandchildren Sergio Alamia (Leah), Sonya Martinez (Manuel), Selena Olivar (Michael), Melissa Jones (Cory), Seirra Perez (Roman), Julie Juarez (Lacey), Jasmine Juarez, John Juarez (Angelica), Elizabeth Caldwell(Dakota), Brianna Juarez(Faith), Casey Juarez, Tiffany Juarez (Ryan), Mariah Rimes (Devan), Gabriel, Oscar, Obrina, and Augustino, as well as 29 Great-Grandchildren, brother Johnny Baker (Cheryl), sisters Evelyn Hurst (Carl), and Linda McNabb (Gary).

Joyce is preceded in death by both parents Elvis Baker and Evelyn Faye Baker, her husband Jessie Rivas Perez, sisters Mary Osteen, Reba Seay, and Lucy Hilton, and her grandson Freddie Juarez Jr. A visitation will be held at Robarts Garden Chapel on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. followed by funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Doyle Staton will be officiating.
