Judith Elaine Wadsworth, 68, of Wauchula, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 in Lake Placid. She was born in Wauchula on August 23, 1943 and had been a lifelong resident of Hardee County.
Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wauchula, a beloved wife and mother, and popular kindergarten teacher in Hardee County for 30 years.
Survivors include her husband, George Wadsworth, Sr. of Wauchula; father and step-mother, Ivy Buell and Maria Knight of Sebring; one son, George Wadsworth Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Wauchula; one daughter, Kelly Moye and her husband Matt of Wauchula; three sisters, Gayle Knight of Wauchula, Cheryl Bone and her husband Neil of Bartow, and Carlene Schumann of Wauchula; and three grandchildren, Cassandra Wadsworth, Morgan Walters, and Carly Wadsworth.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19th at the First Baptist Church of Wauchula from 10-11 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Marcus Shackelford, Duck Smith, and Rev. Darin Canary are officiating. Burial is in Wauchula Cemetery.
