Judy Porter Downey age 60, of Wauchula, Fl. daughter of James Porter and Gladys (Stike) Porter was born on July 28, 1960 and passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2021. Judy spent the majority of her life as a devoted mother, daughter, aunt, loving friend to all especially her best friend of over 35 years Sandra and her kids, and to Corey Richardson who she thought of as a second son. During her lifetime, Judy lived a full loving and happy life surrounded by those who knew her best. She stayed to herself a lot and was just starting to open up; but those who knew her will truly miss her because she had the biggest heart. She enjoyed the outdoors, was a Bucs fan, loved her cat "Meanie-Me" collecting bells, taking care of her flower beds, being a support system and best friend for her son, and a caregiver to her parents. Her cousin, Duane Porter helped lead her to Christ, she served God and her heart was right with him.

While Judy was taken from those who loved her too soon, she is preceded in death by her parents, James and Gladys, and her brothers, David and Michael. She is survived by her son Travis Downey of Wauchula; sister-in- law Sue of Maryland; niece Angie Lawson and her husband Jason; great niece Ava; great-nephews Wyatt and Jase; granddaughter Gabby; and great granddaughter Julissa; as well as numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will take place at Southside Baptist Church
January 23, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. With Pastor Scott Waldron officiating.
