Larry Homer McClellan Sr., 82, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, in Lakeland, Florida. He was born on June 29, 1941, to R.C. and Vivian (Martin) McClellan and had been a resident of Hardee County since 1977, coming from Avon Park, Florida. Larry was a devoted member of the New Beginnings Worship Center and held strong Baptist beliefs. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and was known for his unwavering devotion to his family. He was also a passionate NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the New Beginnings Worship Center in honor of Larry's memory. Larry is preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother, Don McClellan. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruby Brock McClellan; his sons, Larry McClellan Jr., David A. Sanders, and Darryl W. Sanders; his daughter, Debbie McNabb; his sister, Bonnie McClellan; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
