Lydia M. Garcia, 75, of Wauchula, died in Sebring on Saturday, October 30, 2021. She was born in Texas on August 13, 1946 and had lived in Wauchula most of her life. Lydia was married for 37 years. She was loving and open, spending her life caring for and taking care of others. Her children and grandchildren were very important to her. She was a homemaker and Pentecostal by faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas Mendoza and Elena Cedillo; brother, George Mendoza, and sister, Alicia Villereal. Survivors include her husband, Andres Garcia Jr. of Wauchula; sons, Joseph Carmona of Zolfo Springs and Gilbert Carmona, Jr. (Melissa) of Michigan; daughters, Rosa Carmona of Wauchula, Annie Torres of Wauchula, Josephina Reyna (Joe) of Bowling Green, Hope Carmona of Wauchula, Elena Sandoval (Ralph) of Wauchula, Maya Torres of Wauchula, and Monic Torres of Tennessee; brothers, Oscar Mendoza (Dora) of Arcardia, Nicholas Mendoza, Jr. (Mary) of Indiana, and Robert Mendoza of Arcadia; sisters, Ida Mendoza of Bowling Green, Barbara Mendoza of Arcadia, Mary Mendoza of Zolfo Springs, Elsa Mendoza of Zolfo Springs, and Sylvia Mendoza of Arcadia; 42 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
