Lydia McCumber, 89, passed away on September 23, 2026 in Wauchula, Florida. She was born on June 29, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas before relocating to Hardee County in 1971. She spent her time as a homemaker taking care of her family and home.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Gracie McCumber and her son Abram McCumber. She is survived by her husband Joe McCumber of Bowling Green Florida; her sons Joe McCumber Jr of Texas, George McCumber(Sally) of Texas, Felipe McCumber(Maria) of Bartow, Florida, Armondo McCumber(Delia) of Texas, Manuel McCumber of Bartow, Florida, Charles McCumber(Sandra) of Ft Meade, Florida, Robert McCumber of Indiana, and Leonard McCumber(Patricia) of South Carolina; her daughters Mary McCumber(Johnny Garcia) of Bowling Green, Florida, Romana McCumber Garza(Santos) of Georgia, Maxie McCumber(Ortiz) of Arcadia, Florida, Lina Aguilar McCumber(David) of Winter Haven, Florida, and Isabel Sanchez(Elias) of Fort Meade, Florida. She is also survived by 47 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Robarts Garden Chapel on Thursday, October 1, 2026 @ 10:00 A.M. followed by a graveside service at Wauchula City Cemetery.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
